Mission San Jose High School has 3 levels of concert bands that meet daily. All ensembles continuously achieve superior and unanimous superior ratings at concert festivals.

The award winning Mission San Jose High School orchestra is a string orchestra that meets daily and performs various repertoire from across the ages. This ensemble continuously achieves unanimous superior ratings at festivals.



Choirs





Mission San Jose High School has 2 choir programs that perform throughout the year. The programs include:

-Chamber Chorale

-Musical Theatre Vocal Workshop (Show Choir)



Jazz Band





The Mission San Jose High School Jazz Band meets twice a week and performs various tunes from a wide variety of genres.



Warrior Marching Band





The awards winning Mission San Jose High School Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard is a Sweepstakes winning ensemble that performs at competitions and community parades throughout the Bay Area. This is the most active and present group of the MSJ music program as they travel to various location throughout Northern California and are always a crowd-pleasing group to watch.



Color Guard





The Mission San Jose High School Color Guard is an integral part of the MSJ Warrior Marching Band providing the eye-catching visual aspect that dazzles the crowd. During the winter season, the color guard competes in competitions against other high school color guards from throughout Northern California. They have been crowned the titles of Novice and Intermediate classification champions.



Drum Majors





The drum major teach at Mission San Jose High School is a multiple-time, championship winning team in both mace and field conducting. The team continues to win multiple championship and 1st place titles in the category of mace. During marching band season, the drum majors take turns leading the Warrior Band in competition and community parades. During the winter season, they compete in solo competitions against drum majors from throughout Northern California.



Drum Line





The Mission San Jose High School Drum Line is an award winning drum line program. They compete during the fall and winter competitive seasons against other percussion units from throughout Northern California.
